March 21, 1946    The B-17's were really operating today, first, one group of the 97th took off this morning and second, a group from the 301st took off behind them.    This afternoon the same thing happened. All flights were on airports near Gabes. Frag bombs were used.    I was flying as Lt. Biesel's co-pilot.

    The flight was rather easy. The 97th was in  front of us and caught all the flak.
